You
by Tabitha Grace Smith You snuck into the backdoor of my heart, Who said you could come in? I had quite solidly put the lock there. Content in my loneliness. You crept into the window of my eye, What can you see there? I had forgotten what it was to share the view Content in my solitary situation. You slinked into my soul, When did you have time to do so? I had been blissfully unaware of your entry. Content in my isolation. You worked your way in like a thief, Where did you get such skill? I had believed I was invulnerable, inpenatruable in my fortress Content in my singularity. You slid into my life, Why did you choose me? I had been safe in my undesirableness. Content in my independence. Poem by: Tabz |
